🔼 Knights Sweep Series. UCF opened its series against Murray State with an 8-3 win on Friday behind six strong innings from Braden Smith and a 14-hit offensive effort led by Austin Jacobs and Javier Crespo. On Saturday, Matt Sauser and Evan Jones combined for a four-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory to secure the series, with Sauser tossing 5.2 scoreless innings and Zak Skinner adding a two-run home run. The Knights completed the sweep Sunday with a dramatic 10-9 walk-off win, rallying from a 9-4 deficit in the ninth inning before Cayden Gaskin’s RBI single sealed the comeback.
🔼 History Made. No. 23 UCF opened its Big 12 series with a 4-1 win at No. 12 Oklahoma State on Friday behind Isabella Vega’s two-hit complete game and a three-run home run from Izzy Mertes. On Saturday, the Knights were edged 2-1 despite a strong outing from Ava Stuewe, who tossed a career-high 6.2 innings with five strikeouts. Beth Damon accounted for UCF’s run with her eighth home run of the season. Series Win in Stillwater. UCF responded Sunday with a 6-4 victory, breaking a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning to clinch the series and secure the program’s first-ever series win in Stillwater.
🔼 Road Win. No. 25 UCF women’s tennis earned a 4-3 road win over No. 12 Arizona State for its first top-25 victory of the season. After claiming the doubles point, Jade Psonka and Vladislava Andreevskaya each rallied for three-set singles wins to tie the match before Jantje Tilbuerger delivered the clincher on court two.
🔼 Knights Fall in Finale. UCF closed the regular season with a 77-62 loss at West Virginia. Riley Kugel and Themus Fulks led the Knights with 16 points each, while Jordan Burks added 14 points and nine rebounds as UCF finished 20-10 overall and 9-9 in Big 12 play. The Knights now turn their attention to the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City.
