📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Strong Start. The softball team recorded its best 19-game start since 2021 after beating Florida Atlantic 9-5 on Wednesday. UCF is now 15-4 overall. Izzy Mertes and Beth Damon each had two hits. Martes and Kendall Yarnell each hit homers. Hildie Dempsey earned the win on the mound after pitching 4.2 innings, allowing only three hits and striking out three batters.

🔼 Ranked Game. The women’s basketball team celebrated its senior night Space Game against No. 17 West Virginia on Wednesday. UCF was up 27-25 at halftime. The women ended up falling 74-62. Khyala Ngodu led the team with 21 points. Kristol Ayson followed with 12 points. The team shot 51.02% from the field.

🔼 Fresh Moves. Softball player Hildie Dempsey was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week. UCF is now the only program to have been represented in each of the Big 12 Conference’s first three weekly awards this spring. Dempsey produced a 0.00 ERA in 12.1 innings of work while earning two wining decisions and limiting opposing hitters to a .182 batting average-against.
