📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Diamonds. The No. 20 softball team walked-off No. 24 Kansas 6-3 on Friday. Kendall Yarnell hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to secure the victory. The homer marked UCF’s 58th team home run of the season, setting new program single-season record. UCF clinched the series win with a 9-2 win on Saturday. UCF has now assured itself a winning record in Big 12 Conference play for the first time in program history. Aubrey Evans and Yarnell each homered. The women fell in game three 4-2.

🔼 Row On. The No. 11 rowing team hosted seven teams at the Orlando Invite on Lake Pickett this past weekend. On day one, the Knights sent five of six boats to the Grand Finals. On day two, UCF claimed another win of the season. The Knights were crowned the champions of the inaugural Orlando Invite after recording four first-place finishes.

🔼 Championships. The No. 20 women’s tennis team beat four-seeded Arizona 4-2 in the semifinal match of the Big 12 Championship on Friday. The Knights advanced to face No. 23 TCU in the final match on Saturday. UCF fell in the championship match against TCU 4-1 on Saturday. The Knights remain in a strong position to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, which begins May 1 at select campus host sites. Tournament seeding and host sites will be announced on April 27 at 5:30 p.m.

🤔 TRIVIA FOR YOU

Wrapped Up. The No. 14 men’s tennis team faced No. 9 Arizona in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship. UCF fell in a tight 4-3 match. The men will now await their NCAA Tournament destiny.

Men’s tennis finished the regular season with a ##-# record.

🚀 ONE BIG THING

Run It. The track and field team competed at the Tom Jones Invitational. The exclamation point came in the final event of the weekend. Jazmen Newberry, Janiah Pulliam, Twaneise Johnson and Datavia Hunter teamed up in the 4x400m relay to shatter the school record, crossing the line at 3:30.33 to cap a thrilling meet for the Knights. Newberry added another historic mark in the 400m, running 51:52 to move into the program’s top three all-time rankings.
