🔼 On a Run. The softball team beat Stetson 14-13. The Knights were down 11-0 after the first inning. They came back with six runs in the third and seventh innings and two in the fifth. Izzy Mertes and Kiley Strott each hit two homers. Aubrey Evans, Sierra Humphreys, Ashleigh Griffin and Samantha Rey each hit a homer also. This is the program’s all-time largest comeback win and single-game program record with eight home runs.

🔼 Mound Man. The Big 12 Conference named Matt Sauser the Co-Pitcher of the Week. He threw a career-long 8.0 innings while striking out a career-best eight batters in UCF’s win over No. 15 TCU. Sauser is a perfect 3-0 this season.

🔼 Pro Award. Former UCF baseball player Dylan Moore was named the American League Player of the Week. Moore is the first UCF alum to be named player of the week at the Major League level. He recorded 10 hits in 26 plate appearances for the Mariners.

🔼 Championship. The men’s golf team competed in day two of the Big 12 Championship. The team is in 15th place with an overall score of 900 (+60). Chase Haygood leads the team with an individual score of 222 (+12).

Mark the Calendar! The volleyball team released the 2025 Big 12 schedule. The Knights will have nine home games and nine road games. The first game is on Sept. 16 at home against Baylor. The final home conference game is Nov. 19 against Arizona State.
