🔼 Big Promo. The softball team promoted graduate assistant Shannon Saile to assistant coach! Saile formerly played at Oklahoma and is a national championship-winning pitcher. In 2023-24, she has developed the Knights’ pitching corps.

🔼 Laced Up. Three women’s track and field athletes are ready to start their competition at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Rayniah Jones and Asherah Collins are making their fourth consecutive appearances at the event. Kiah Williams is making her second consecutive appearance. Jones and Williams compete today. Jones will take on the 100m hurdles and Williams the 400m. Collins competes today and Saturday in the long jump and triple jump.

🚀 ONE BIG THING

Spreading Her Wings. Former graduate transfer right-handed pitcher Sona Halajian just signed with the Texas Monarchs. The Monarchs are a new squad to the Women’s Professional Fastpitch league. She is the third Knight to sign with a professional organization this summer. Halajian pitched 28.1 innings and struck out 15 batters. She also was a designated player, where she hit .329/.391/.528 going 26-for-79.
