🔼 Regional Recap. The Knights opened the NCAA Tallahassee Regional with a wild back-and-forth battle over Alabama. The team won 8-7, clinching the game-winning run in the top of the ninth inning. Andrew Sundean was the man to make it happen with an RBI single on two outs in the top of the ninth. Kris Sosnowski got the job done on the mound in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win.

Next, the Knights took on No. 8 Florida State in the winner’s bracket. The men lost 5-2 after a long-awaited game due to weather delays. This moved the team to an elimination game on Sunday against Stetson.

The Knights beat Stetson 5-2, thanks to Sundean tying the game in the seventh inning, Jack Zyska hitting a two-run home run, and Braden Calise’s solo home run in the eighth.

The Black and Gold played again Sunday night against No. 8 Florida State in the Regional finals. The men were unable to get revenge and lost 12-4. Zyska hit his second two-run homer of the day in the first inning. Calise scored on an infield error, and Sundean hit a solo homer.

Tick Tock. The times for the first three football games have been released! The Knights open the 2024 season against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. ET Thursday, Aug. 29 at FBC Mortgage Stadium. It will air live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Next, the Knights vs. Sam Houston game on Saturday, Sept. 7, will be at 6:30 p.m. ET on the Big 12 Now on ESPN+. The team will open Big 12 play and hit the road for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 14, at TCU at 7:30 p.m. ET, and it will be broadcast on FOX.
