Track and Field broke record after record this past weekend.

Good morning. We hope you made it out to the men’s tennis home opener on Saturday because they WON!! And women’s tennis won. And track and field broke some records. Shall I go on?

🔼 Breaking Records. How to start the weekend: set a freshman record! That’s exactly how Y’Vette Harris started the Vanderbilt Invitational for the Knights. Harris received 3,440 points in her first collegiate pentathlon. On day two, Charlotte Crook broke her own best program record in the 1000m by .04 seconds.

🔼 Clean Sweep. The women’s tennis team swept No. 20 Georgia Tech 4-0 to open the 2024 dual-match season. The Knights won three consecutive singles courts and secured the doubles point for the victory. Jaleesa Leslie came in clutch as she secured the clinch on court five.

🚀 ONE BIG THING

Home Dubs. While the women were away taking dubs, the men’s tennis team went 5-2 over North Florida in its home opener. This is the first time since 2017 that the team has opened the season 3-0. Four Knights are undefeated in singles so far this season— Lleyton Cronje, Santiago Giamichelle, Medhi Benchakorun and Paul Colin.
