🔼In the Pros. UCF baseball player Najer Victor was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB Draft. Victor is a right-handed reliever who played his junior and senior seasons at UCF. He struck out 30 batters in 24.1 innings of work, finishing the year with a 5.55 ERA this past season.

Right-handed pitcher Chase Centala was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 20th round. He played three seasons at UCF, where he was the closer for most of his senior year. He went 3-0 in 2024 with a team-best of seven saves. He struck out 37 batters in 32.1 innings and tallied a 6.55 ERA.

Fab Five. The track and field team had five student-athletes named to the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team. The whole program received All-Academic honors and Holly Cassels, Asherah Collins, Natalia Madison, Rayniah Jones and Adaobi Tabugbo earned individual honors. They stood out on the track and in the classroom, holding at least a 3.25 GPA and finishing among the top 96 nationally in at least one individual event or the top 48 in a relay event.
