🔼 In-State Win. The No. 17 softball team beat South Florida 4-1 on Wednesday. The Knights are now 6-0 against in-state schools this season. Five Knights recorded one hit a piece. Izzy Mertes led the team with two RBIs. Tori Payne earned the win in the circle after pitching 5.0 innings and striking out one batter. Lena Elkins earned the save in her 2.0 innings pitched and one strikeout.

Spotlight. Get to know football player Ty Bartrum. His father, Mike Bartrum spent 13 years in the NFL. Ty played high school ball across three different schools. He committed to Harvard University in 2021. He made it to UCF in 2026.

He recorded an impressive ## tackles (second most on the team) at Harvard in 2025.

NFL Draft Ready. UCF football player Malachi Lawrence is awaiting his name to be called in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has the chance to become the program’s fifth-first round pick. Lawrence etched his name on UCF’s career sacks list, finishing 10th all-time with 20. He posted one of the top performances for an edge rusher the NFL Scouting Combine over the last 40 years. His performance ranked 22nd out of over 2,000 defensive ends over that time, including a 40-inch vertical and a 4.52 40-yard dash mark.
