🔼 Weekly Honors. Men’s soccer player Takahiro Fujita was named the Sun Belt’s Week Two Defensive Player of the Week. Fujita aided UCF to remain unbeaten through its first three matches of the season and clinched the squad’s third consecutive clean sheet. Fujita also scored the first of two UCF goals on the evening in the 29th minute against South Florida.

🔼 New Addition. Thank you to Jon and Kate Swift for their support of the Hagle Football Gateway and the transformational Roth Tower project at Acrisure Bounce House! In recognition of their generosity to the university, the main bar inside the Tower Club on the third level of Roth Tower will be named “The Swift.” The newly constructed bar and gathering space will provide Tower Club members with a signature destination to connect and celebrate throughout UCF Football gamedays and special events.

Welcome! UCF Athletics named Chandler Couch the new Associate Athletics Director for Executive Operations. Couch will oversee the day-to-day operations of the athletics director’s office, including executive scheduling, departmental planning, board governance and coordination of high-impact initiatives.

Couch previously worked with which MLB team as the executive administrator for baseball operations and scouting?

🔼 Tourney Honors. Volleyball players Abby Schomers and Sasha Cohen earned All-Tournament Team honors after their performances at the Black & Gold Classic. Schomers was named the MVP. She led the Knights to a .363 hitting percentage and 16.3 kills per set. Cohen broke her career-high in blocks in just the second set. She totaled 22 kills and a .462 hitting percentage.
