Space U Brew 3/17: Baseball Opens Conference Play with Series Win
The baseball team won its first conference series of the season against BYU.

🔼 Series Dub! The baseball team won its series over BYU. The Knights won 9-8, lost 7-8 and won 7-6. DeAmez Ross and Edian Espinal hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning of the first game. The Knights went into extra innings in its loss. Dylan King hit a go-ahead home run in the sixth and added a two-run triple in the eighth, and Angelo Smith closed it out in the ninth in the game-three win.
Doesn’t get more gritty than this‼️

🔼 Ranked Win. The No. 19 men’s tennis team beat No. 10 Arizona 4-3. Mehdi Benchakroun won the game-winning singles match.
🔼 Runner Up. The women’s golf team finished second at the Valspar Invitational. The team scored a 585 (+7). Molly Smith led the team with an individual score of 143 to tie for third place.
🔼 Court Report. The women’s tennis team swept No. 52 Iowa State 4-0. The Knights won their seventh straight event of the season against No. 40 Kansas 4-1.
🔼 Big Game. The softball team beat Arizona State 11-0 in six innings. Beth Damon had a career day at the plate. It was her first career two-homer day.

NCAA Runs. Two track & field athletes garnered All-America honors in the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships. Kiah Williams and Adaobi Tabugbo earned Second Team. Williams concluded her storied career in the 400m. Tabugbo notched her first career honor in the 60m hurdles. The 4×400 relay squad also earned Second Team All-America honors after a ninth-place finish.
